Who runs it

Fantasy App Scout is an independent directory, not owned or operated by any of the platforms it lists. It exists because there was no single, honest place to look up a fantasy sports tool.

One affiliation worth stating

The site is built by me, a single person, who works at FantasyPros. That is a personal connection, not a corporate one. FantasyPros does not own this directory, fund it, or have editorial oversight. I thought if listing it under Independent Projects but that seemed a bit too cute. The FantasyPros API is promoted here because the I believe it is the best place to get fantasy data on the internet.

Two places where you might reasonably wonder, so here they are plainly. FantasyPros is listed on the market overview under the same criteria as every other platform, with the same coverage marks and the same correction process. And the builder guide covers the FantasyPros API because it has a free public tier that someone can actually start on and not because a tool has to use it to be listed here. Nothing in the directory requires it, and most listings do not use it.

What gets listed

Two kinds of thing, kept apart because they are not the same kind of business:

• Independent tools: creator-built, small-team, experimental, or narrowly focused products. Most were found in public posts where their creators announced them, and every listing links back to that post.
• Established platforms: scaled companies and mature commercial products with tools and content teams, compared on a feature matrix.

Whether a tool uses FantasyPros data is a separate question from either of those, and is recorded separately. See methodology.

Referral Links

Some outbound links may use reviewed referral codes. Referral agreements never affect whether a tool is listed, where it ranks, or whether it is featured, and a referral arrangement cannot buy featured placement. The full statement is on the referral disclosure page.

Getting something changed

Creators and platforms can correct anything on their own listing, including removing it. See corrections. To add a tool, see submit a tool.
